History

Born in Japan; Tsuna had, what you can call, a normal life there, if you don't count that he pretty much failed at life.

He's an only child that lived with his mother and father; though his father was barely at home due his work, since he supposedly works at oil fields. Tsuna has a good relationship with his mother but doesn't get along so well with his father since he considers him a 'loser dad' that only causes him embarrassment.

Tsuna used to attend to the Namimori Junior High school, though he never did so well and for that he gained the harsh nickname 'No Good Tsuna' (or 'Dame Tsuna'). In fact he was only able to pass his subjects because his mother talked to the principal to give him a chance. To top that, he never really had any friends and only kept attending school to be able to see his crush, Kyoko Sasagawa.

Even if his mother was kind of used to the idea that her son will never succeed in life, she always attempted to help him out or find him new ways of studying. It was then when she found the leaflet of Saint Ambrose school, which was left mysteriously on her mail box, which promised that it would make her boy's grades improve with a high educational level and to make him 'become the next generation's leader'. Hoping that this would be her son's last chance to get a successful life, she send him to said school immediately.

Tsuna wasn't happy with the change, seeing how he would not be able to see Kyoko anymore, but he wasn't able to said no to his mother so within days he found himself getting used to his new environment.

What he doesn't know about his past is that he, apparently, is a great-great grandson of an Italian Mafia Boss, and that his life on Ambrose would be anything but normal, unlike he hoped it to be. Though this would be revealed little by little as his days on the school pass.

Personality:

Tsuna is your average loser teenager. Bad grades, bad at sports, bad luck... In general he pretty much fails at anything he might attempt to do. However, he's pretty much content with his life being a failure; he doesn't have any high expectations and he believes he just was not meant for anything great.

He's somewhat insecure at attempting anything new and sometimes easily surprised/scared and prone to freak outs (especially if it's any situation Mafia-related). He prefers having a normal, peaceful life and not try too much at doing anything nor getting involved with anything strange and/or dangerous. Yet, due his nature, he's still unable to say 'no' when somebody asks him to do/help at some activity; nor defend himself at all.

However, he cares deeply for all his family and friends, and will do anything to protect them, even if it means putting his own life in danger. Overall, Tsuna has a great heart, and with the help of his friends will probably grow a backbone and become more determined and try harder in succeeding in life.
